A kitchen built for Italian cuisine could be a good option for the American public to spend time in, says architect and chef Gianni Brugnara, who designed the restaurant’s interior.
“Italian cuisine is a global cuisine,” Brugna said.
“We are all Italians, and the kitchen is designed for the people who live here.”
The kitchen was built on a former Italian bakery that was converted into a restaurant in 2008.
The Italian kitchen is set in a traditional dining room that is surrounded by large, wood-paneled walls and a stone fireplace.
Brugnanara said he wanted to create a “very warm and comfortable atmosphere,” but he also wanted the kitchen to “be a place for a variety of cuisines, not just one Italian.”
In addition to the food, the kitchen also includes a bar, a dining room and a bar area.
The dining room includes a dining table and a glass-and-steel fireplace, and it also features a table, counter and chairs.
“There’s no space for the tables, but there’s a big bar,” he said.
The bar area is for guests to enjoy an Italian meal while sitting in a chair in the dining room.
Brescia, who has worked with Italian restaurants in the U.S., said he’s working on a kitchen concept for the new location of the Uptown Uptowner, a new restaurant opening in the heart of D.C.’s U.R.C. “I like the idea of being able to do something that’s not necessarily traditional,” he told The Post.
“The Italian kitchen concept was something that was very important to me, and I wanted to make it feel very contemporary.”
Brescias restaurant will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays.

“In addition to our traditional menu, we will be serving an assortment of dishes from the neighborhood, including a range of traditional Italian dishes.”
Brugnas restaurant has been in the works for some time.
In August, the UPTowner posted a short video about the plans on social media.
The restaurant’s website and Facebook page include no descriptions of the cuisine.
“Our intention is to be a place that reflects the city of Washington and the unique cuisine of our region,” Bresca said.
